We are “Going the Extra Mile” with this year’s 2nd annual Tour de Paws! Riders of all skill levels are invited to ride in one of the many bicycle divisions: 25 miles, 43 miles, 61 miles, family fun ride. Routes open at 7:oo a.m. and are planned on low-traffic roads and area bike trails throughout Decatur, Nelson Park, and the Decatur lakefront. Each rider will receive a map, and can rely on well-marked routes, well-stocked rest areas, and SAG support along all routes until 2:00 p.m. There will also be a Pier 36 Family Fun Ride along the lakeshore.
Pier 36 Finish Line Party
Regardless of whether you ride, this is a family event! All are welcome to celebrate at the Pier 36 Finish Line Party with food, cold drinks, and raffle prize drawings. Enjoy family-friendly activities including a bounce house, the Scovill Mobile Zoo, adoptable dogs from the Macon County Animal Control & Care Center, and canine demonstrations. Meal tickets will be available for lunch catered by the Beach House from 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.
