About Us

The Foundation raises funds to provide discretionary care and treatment to the companion animals held at the Macon County Animal Control & Care Center. The Foundation provided major funding to renovate and equip the Center.

The Decatur & Macon County Animal Shelter Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization.

Our Mission

The Foundation’s mission is to care for and aid in the adoption efforts of the homeless companion animals of Macon County. The Foundation also promotes the spay and neuter of companion animals.
